The draw for the County Winter Fourball Better Ball (4BBB) 2020-21 has now been done and with 43 teams entering this has resulted in some lucky teams getting a bye through to the second round.
Participants should have received an email from Club V1 advising who their opponents are and providing contact details. You can also view the knockout competition by clicking on ‘Knockout’ in the menu of the RLCGA Club V1 Members Hub if you have joined.
Alternatively if not using the Members Hub CLICK HERE. This version of the draw will not be updated.
The first round has to be played by 10th November and if using the Members Hub, either the winning or losing team can update the result of their match by selecting ‘Knockouts’ from the Hub’s menu; RLCGA Winter Fourball Better Ball 2020-21 and ‘view draw’ from the drop down menu (downwards arrow at top right hand corner). Thereafter find your team (it will be in green for the person logged in) and via the drop down menu next to the team name, enter the score (nb the facility doesn’t provide score entry for games going beyond the 18th hole so if there are extra holes enter a score 1 up at the 18th hole for the winners)
The system will automatically forward the winner on to the next round and email their contact details on to their next opponent once the opponents tie has been concluded.
If you did not receive the advisory email, do not use the Hub or have problems updating the result via the Hub then please contact the undersigned competition co-ordinator, who will be able to assist;
Julie Wilson; email: juliepwilson1@gmail.com, 07968 286240
Julie is also the point of contact for any problems arising in relation to playing in the Winter 4BBB.
As of 2nd November 2020, the World Handicap System ‘Course Handicaps’ will be used when calculating strokes. Clubs are presently being supplied with the relevant supporting WHS material from Scottish Golf and once it is verified how this will work in practice for home and visiting players participating in this competition a communication will be sent out.
The date and venue for the final has still to be decided but for the purposes of creating the draw a date in May was selected.
Let’s hope for a mild and dry winter.
Happy Golfing !
