Whilst golf is available again, Clubs are currently concentrating on looking after their members requirements and resurrecting in-house competitions. This being the case, allocating a 3-hour courtesy slot for visitors will probably not be acceptable by clubs at this time.
With this in mind, and with a heavy heart, the Captain and Committee have decided to cancel the remaining three competitions for this season: the August Stableford (East Renfrewshire GC), Open Greensomes (Cochrane Castle GC) and Tri-am (Gleddoch GC). The Campbell Clock - our annual junior event at Whitecraigs GC - has also been cancelled.
Given the limited expenses incurred by the County this year, it has been agreed by the Committee that the 2020 subscriptions already paid by members will be rolled-over as payment for 2021's subscription. The annual email requesting subscriptions will confirm this when issued later in the year.
On a more positive note, life seems to be slowly getting back to the “new” normal and many members are golfing again so, hopefully, 2021 will be a better year and we can enjoy County golf again.
The Captain would like to thank members once again for their support and understanding during these strange and difficult times.
